OC-250 Rev D – Detailed 2D Preliminary Engineering Definition

51 preliminary definition sheets covering the system, assemblies, and components51 sheets

A set of 51 A3 drawing sheets describing a planar orbital architecture, its assemblies, interfaces, and selected components. The design comprises four independent vehicles, each with 62.5 kW of IT power.

Preliminary study, not flight-qualified. Original document preserved in full.

Document scope

From general arrangement to interfaces.

General arrangements, sections, photovoltaic panels and radiators, compute enclosures, fasteners, hinges, circuits, and interface registers. Dimensioned elements, supplier envelopes, and unresolved engineering items are identified separately.

  • How does the platform’s form translate into physical assemblies and interfaces?
  • Which parts have defined dimensions, and which allocations still need confirmation?

Drawing maturity and qualification.

Revision D extends the Revision C form study into two-dimensional definitions of assemblies and components. It distinguishes proposed geometry, derived results, and envelopes reserved for equipment that has yet to be selected. The Revision E 3D section published on this site then shows a representative mounting joint; it does not depict a complete, validated vehicle.

A preliminary engineering definition. The drawings and geometric checks do not establish qualification, supplier validation, or approval for manufacture. Full deployment, dynamics, thermal survival, and flight mass remain unresolved.
